MMBC Club History

The Manly Malibu Boardriders Club was founded in 1985 by a dedicated bunch of surfers and hell raisers Butch, Wobby, Steve Johnson, Dale McNalty and Debbie Elliott. It quickly established itself as one of the strongest clubs in Australia. Original members still compete, with monthly comps on the 1st Sunday of the month except for January and June. Contest site is in front of Carlton Street, Manly Beach.
